Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the Florida End-of-Course (EOC) exam
What is a Florida End-of-Course (EOC) assessment?
Florida's End-of-Course (EOC) assessments let students earn high school course credit through the state's Credit Acceleration Program (CAP). Score at Achievement Level 3 or higher and you can earn the course credit without taking the full course. EOCs are administered through your school district under Florida Department of Education rules.
Are the practice questions aligned with the actual EOC?
Every question on Florida CAP Prep™ is independently authored and mapped to a specific Florida standard — the B.E.S.T. Standards for Algebra 1 and Geometry, and the NGSSS for Biology 1 and U.S. History. Practice and mock exams are modeled after the format, length, and difficulty range of the official Florida EOC. We are not affiliated with the Florida Department of Education and do not publish actual exam content.
Which subjects can I prepare for?
We offer full standards-aligned prep for B.E.S.T. Algebra 1, B.E.S.T. Geometry, Biology 1, and U.S. History — each with Semester A and B mock exams, hundreds of practice questions, and AI-powered explanations.
How much does Florida CAP Prep™ prep cost?
The free plan gives you sample questions for every subject. Unlimited mock exams, AI explanations, and standards mastery tracking are $29.99 per subject — far less than tutoring or a failed EOC retake.
What's the passing score on a Florida EOC?
Florida EOCs are reported on a five-level scale (Levels 1–5), not a percentage. Achievement Level 3 ("Satisfactory") or higher is the statewide standard used to earn course credit through CAP — there are no district-specific percentage cutoffs. Our mock exams estimate how close you are to a Level 3 performance so you know when you're on track.
How is this different from a study guide PDF?
You get standards-tagged practice questions, instant AI explanations for every wrong answer, weak-point retargeting, full-length mock exams, and progress tracking — none of which a static PDF can offer.
I'm not in Florida — can I still use Florida CAP Prep?
Yes. The underlying skills our practice drills — Algebra 1, Geometry, Biology, and more — are the same core content taught across U.S. states and many international curricula. Our questions are aligned to Florida's standards, but the math and science behind them are universal. The platform works for any student who wants rigorous, standards-based practice with AI explanations.
